At the toll on Chile Route 60, don’t forget to mention that you are not crossing the international border, they will waive the fee. The signs at the beginning of the dirt road seemed to imply the area belonged to a mining company but we went anyway. The road was rough but no issue for our subaru crosstrek. On the trail to the waterfall, there were information signs for hikers. There were a lot of cows at the bottom of the waterfall. Above the waterfall we saw a lot of condors, they have a resting area at the end of the valley. There are various spots to easily cross the stream, some at the end of the valley. There are a few animal trails that help progress. We saw a lot of guanacos, multiple herds.
